My last post I set the goal of finishing 6 quilts by the end of 2019. I was able to finish 4 of them. I think that is pretty good. I choose not to beat myself up over not accomplishing my goal. I will be content with what I finished.
I did however get one big quilt finished that I have been working on for 2 years! It's my daughter and son-in-law's wedding quilt!
I am a bit slow at completing projects sometimes. Since both my 'kids' love cats, I used the Missouri Star Quilt Company's Cat Quilt pattern. I am so happy they loved it!
In each row, the cats are going in one direction to the left or to the right.. Except the in the very center. Two cats are cudding together.
It fits their bed really well. And is Chino approved too!
I wanted the back to be special too. I made a two cat block with a heart from a magazine I had found. I asked my daughter use her embroidery machine to make her own label for it. In the picture it is the little box on the right.
The label says
" To celebrate the marriage of Christian and Kaylee May 4th, 2019.
' Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get, only what you are expecting to give. Which is everything.' Katherine Hepburn. Made with much love by Mom"
